Jazz has the peculiarity of being an improvised music. It is always fresh. And it regenerates itself every time we play it. Even the same piece, the melody is the same but it will never be the same on any of the nights the concert is held. It also depends a lot on the audience. On the type of response. On the electricity that you perceive in the spectators, on how involved they are. That also gives us strength. It is another energy to be able to best express what we feel.

After the success of Caraviaggianti, Rita Marcotulli returns with a new musical project, born from her multi-stylistic vision and great attention to the contemporary scene.

For the new project, Rita Marcotulli has created a new quartet with the playful title UNDER 29 BUT ME “Colours”, calling to her side great talents who shine in the new Italian jazz scene.

Alongside Rita Marcotulli's compositions, in this new Live we find the songs written by her daughter, Elettra Minieri, a talented young composer, performed by Ava Alami, an extraordinary singer of Iranian origins...

It is not always true that the meeting of multiple cultures generates winners and losers. On the contrary, it happens that sometimes it generates something new, another feeling, a fusion of each individual cultural heritage, creating a fantastic alchemy. This is the case of the meeting between the four talented musicians.

If we speak of different cultures, we must add that these artists have always met on a common level with regards to artistic sensitivity, feeling, and the great musicality that they are able to draw from their instruments.

And even if at times it may seem like being in Tibet because of a ritual bell or maybe in Japan, with the pianist manually reducing the sound of the instrument to make it seem short like when you pluck the strings of a Koto, the aim is always the same, to continue on and not stop at the first pleasure of listening.
